Categorical mapping
In QuickTable, you can map one or more categorical values to numeric or other values. You can choose from two modes of categorical mapping operations:
By text value
By numerical range
Where to find Categorical mapping
You can click New column in the toolbar. Categorical mapping is the first one.
Categorical mapping by text value
In this example, you want to map the contents of Category to numbers.
Select Category, enter the "New column name":
Insert category name, and click "Select values...":
Click the "+" button, you can map multiple values to a category, then click "Save":
You have completed the configuration of one mapping:
Click the "+ Add classification" to start another mapping, click the "Save" button, you will get your expected result.
Categorical mapping by numerical range
In this example, you will get whether the order is profitable or not based on the value of the Profit column.
Click New column > Categorical mapping > By numerical range.
Select Profit and Enter the new column name:
Then configure the classification as follows:
Click the "Save" button, you will get your expected result.
